The Journal will aim to publish three full-length, peer-reviewed articles for every invited, full-length review article on a recent significant book of the author’s choice (“recent” means “published within the author’s lifetime”). The Journal will pay for the English translation of invited review articles in other languages, at a rate of €20,00/page in English, upon submission of an invoice from the translator. Articles will be published online as they are accepted, and each published article will constitute an issue of the Journal. The acceptance rate for each peer-reviewed issue of the Journal will be posted at http://adrianpiper.com/berlinjphil/index.shtml. Each issue of The Berlin Journal of Philosophy will be publicly advertised.

EDITORIAL PROCEDURE: All submissions must consist in original material that has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere.
All non-invited papers are blind-submitted and are subject to double-blind review. Paper submissions arrive at The Berlin Journal of Philosophy office in pre-anonymized form. The author’s identity remains unknown to all personnel until after a decision on the paper is reached.
All blind submissions are subject to preliminary screening by the editor. Those deemed suitable for further consideration are forwarded to a first anonymous referee. Those favorably evaluated are forwarded to a second anonymous referee for additional review. Once a decision on a paper has been reached, the author is required to submit identification and contact information, and the decision is then communicated to the author. Referee comments are provided only on decisions to accept with revisions, or to reject with advice to revise and resubmit. The Journal aims to notify authors of a decision within four to eight months.
